Overview
In 2021 We were approached by the Client to make some key changes to their existing house with a view to modernising it, and increasing its functionality to meet the needs of their growing family.
Challenge: The courtyard was characterless and the entertainment area never seemed to be used, whilst the lounge appeared to be extremely large, and the master bedroom did not have an en-suite bathroom.
Our challenge was to make space for an additional bedroom, and a new en-suite bathroom, by reformatting the layout under the same roof.
Solution: We proposed new aluminium consertina doors and windows into the into the outer envelope, to make the house feel more accessible and connected to its natural surroundings.
The clients suggestion for a screen wall, added much needed privacy to the facade with the toilets, giving oportunity for a new outdoor shower and secret garden.
The heavily fortified northern section of the entertainment area, which was previously inaccessible to the adjacent garden, was opened up and the entertainment area immediately re-activated.
The Clients excellent interior design choices for furniture, fittings, and finishes add the final tasteful touches.
