Overview

After spending 7 years working in Namibia, Tawanda moved back to Zimbabwe in 2018, where he later joined NUST as a Faculty lecturer. Tawanda joined APS in 2021 looking to further his career in the practicing profession, with the intention of one day doing his PPE exams and ultimately registering as a Professional Architect.

Tawandas interests in architecture, are mostly based around art, design, and crafting things by hand. He has a firm belief that architecture is a potent tool, that can potentially solve many modern challenges - He believes that building design can both satisfy the senses and preserve our environment.

Tawanda is particularly keen on 'architectural visualisation' and 'physical modelling' paying particular attention to optimising space, light and materials. He draws a lot of inspiration from architects like Richard Meier and Sir David Adjaye.

Tawanda has good general experience in 'architecture' and the 'built environment', however he prides himself in the delivery of many different building typologies, with specific emphasis on design conceptualisation and detailing.
