Overview
Description: In 2017 APS were commissioned by the Client to refurbish existing offices that had been formerly abandoned and were in a state of disrepair.
Challenge: The building was well located relative to the main road and entrance, however the whole building required re-thinking for its new administrative purpose.
Solution: The first thing we did was to identify the structural, versus non-structural walls within the building, and see how best the spaces could be optimised for a mostly open plan layout. A staff rest room was integrated with the reception / information desk, whilst the more senior offices were partitioned off with glazing to transparency and integration whilst also ensuring the requisite privacy.
